Hi Fellow Legionaires, AUX, SAL, and ALR members,

If you have not been to the club bar lately, you should go down and see the new improvememtns. Thanks to the S.A.L. and the Ladies Auxiliary. The S.A.L. sided the rest of the building, they also put in a cement pad for parking. The ladies have already purchased a new wood stove for the bar area and in the big dining room, they are going to purchase Knotty Pine for the West wall all the way to the peak, similar to the walls in the bar. So if you see any of the members, S.A.L. or Auxiliary, say thanks. At the present time we are taking sealed bids on the old wood stove, air conditioner and an exhaust fan. They all can be seen at the Pines. Bids will be opened at the November meeting.

November 1st there will be a Halloween Costume Party at the Pines at 7:00 P.M.

On the 7th of November at 9:00 A.M., the Peck school is putting on a program for Veterans Day.

The November meeting has been changed to the 9th instead of the 16th because of deer season. Also at the November meeting, we will be auditing all of our accounts.

On November 11th, Veterans Day, we are meeting at the Hall at 10:30 A.M. We will march to the park for a small service then back to the hall. Afterwards we will have a dish to pass meal at the Pines.

S>A.L. will have a Buck Pole for the 15th and 16th so you can come hang your deer.

On December 6th we will be selling candy canes for our Scholarship fund. Sign up sheets will be put up after Hunters ROund Up. And don't forget that afternoon is the Army vs. Navy game and the TV's will be tuned in for the game at the Pines.

December 18th we will be packing candy for Santa. Santa will be at the Main Hall on December 20th from 1:00-3:00 P.M. The Christmas party for all members will be at the Pines that evening. Don't forget your White Elephant gift for our exchange. Check the calendar for times.

Hunters Round up Winners: TV-Roxy Bautko, Black powder Gun-Lou Suiter, $100.00 Gift Card-Dagny Evenson, Bike-Dominic Narasco. Top ticket sellers were Larry Krause, Jerry Chambers and Larry Nason. A Hunters Round up workers party will be January 24th at 7:00 P.M., bring a dish to pass. There will be drink specials and door prizes. Anyone who worked at the event or sold tickets is welcome to the party.

S.A.L. - We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets at our table for Hunters Round up. Don't forget our meeting is the 1st Sunday of the month at 11:30 at the Pines.

I'll start by thanking all the people that helped make our bake sale a success. A special thank you to Roy and Annett Bowers for the use of their tent and grill, Roy Bowers for the pop, Lloyd Thompson for the hot dog buns, Griff for picking the helium tank up for us and to anyone else who helped us in any way.

Next a big thank you to everyone who helped with the turkey dinner, whether it was a donation of money, food or your time. All of your help was greatly appreciated. All of you made it possible to have a successful dinner. All of you are welcome to attend a program being held at the school, November 7th at 9:00 a.m. for Veterans Day.

November 11th, Veterans Day there will be a parade at 11:00 a.m. Anyone wishing to participate should meet at the main hall at 10"00 a.m. A Pot Luck will follow at the Pines.

Our next meeting is November 17th at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see you there.

Our next ALR meeting will be November 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Pines. The December meeting will be the 5th and don't forget the December meeting is first nomination of Officers.

Also a reminder that ALT dues are due by the first of January, still $12.00 a rider.

We will be having a euchre party on January 10th at the Pines. Sign up will start at 3:00 p.m. and we will start play at 4 p.m. Also on our calendar is a tattoo party on the 14th of February with more details to follow but mark your calendar.

Anyone interested in joining ALR please come to one of our meetings, also if you are interested in becoming a supporting member, contact Director Griffth.

Reggie McCanham had knee surgery. Ed Ballor had a heart attack, and he is back home and doing well. I hope everone is healing well.

Funeral Services were held for Pas Member Ron Amons.

Speaking of sick call and the funerals, if anyone is sick or has passed on, please call the Pines (378-5818) and let us know.
